Twisted W Arena was founded by Mike Wear, his wife Kathy, and daughter Lauryn, in 2015.
Growing up, Lauryn was an avid barrel racer and travelled all over the country with her family. When she started high school, Lauryn started training young horses and realized she wanted to do this for the rest of her life.
Because training takes so much time, Mike and Lauryn realized they needed a place where Lauryn can ride and train year round. Not long after, Mike built the arena to support his daughter’s dreams and to provide a place for local barrel racing.
Lauryn grew up barrel racing in NBHA MO 04. Over time, Kathy became the director of the 04 district. This led her and her family to start Cash Cans Barrel Racing. When Cash Cans first started, they held shows all over Missouri, but the crew wanted a place close to home so they didn’t have to travel. Twisted W would provide that.
Since 2016, Twisted W has been hosting equine events such as barrel races, fun shows, and timed events. The family has opened the arena up to events of all kind. These events include; tractor pulls, auctions, mega markets, clinics, and even a wedding reception!
Twisted W would love to host your next event! Contact us to set up an appointment today!
